Telling children about santa is a sick game. | |

I think it's blasphemous, and I don't even attend church. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28604765 I get flack too! I now feel sorry for those still entranced by it all, standing in line to have their kid sit on a pedo's lap. ugh. I refuse to fill my preschoolers head full of lies. The whole santa thing is based on a rewards and punishment which is wrong not to mention all the other creepy aspects. My parents went through great pains to keep the santa thing alive for me and when I found out the truth it was a huge breach in trust. Same goes for the tooth fairy, easter bunny etc. By age 13 I was seriously depressed at the holidays every year, it felt empty and meaningless. I've spent the rest of my life being a truth seeker even if the truth was painful. Wondering if it stemmed from these childhood deceptions? |

Of course, corporate America tells us MORE MORE MORE. Indoctrinate from a young age to implant an emotional disposition for the rest of their lives. It's still practiced in good nature for the most part, so I'm happy to spend the time with my closet family. My closest friends. I only give practical things like coffee, socks, soap, razors. Things we should all have the right to have. How stupid is it to give someone a $25 gift card for target, and then what a surprise, I got a $25 gift card from target THANKS! Target now has guaranteed themselves $50 while the giving parties get absolute $0. MERRY CHRISTMAS TARGET! |
