I have just about f'ing had it up to my cranium!
Having just spent the last 2 months being force-fed Christmas crap by various advertizing and town festive lights I am now expected to go and 'celebrate' this shit, and go to see family members in the name of a festival that I DO NOT believe in... I am an Atheist, why the hell should I?
No but my GF says that I have to be present (pardon the pun)!
Now if I do not attend this family gathering I will be subject to taunts of miserable all day if not for the next 2-weeks. I'm sick of it... why force someone into something that they really do not want to do... it sucks!

Seriously, man, start drawing some boundaries, and stand your ground.
So what if you are "taunted" for two weeks? Get over it.
If you politely, firmly, clearly, and without malice, simply state that you have other plans... you do not have to accept any invitation anywhere. Ever.
Those "other plans" may be to clean your toenails while hanging out in GLP in your pajamas, but they are legitimately 'other plans', and you are under no compulsion to explain them.
So this year, since you acted like you were going along with all the fake festive shit... you have to suck it up and go and endure it.
But start laying the groundwork now for next year. Let everyone know as soon as politely, clearly, and firmly as possible that you have "other plans" for next "Christ"mas.
