Quoting: mrmuffins69 2nd amendment made sense 200years ago. Today, tyrannic government has agencies (fbi,cia..) and a military that can not be combated against with pistols and semi-automatic weapons. Also, if you think the current and last government (bush or obama) aren't tyrannical, then the main-stream media has done a number on you. |

My country is as corrupt as any other. Ok, not as nearly corrupt as Italy for example, but still :) The main problem is that they are taking away basic rights in social security and international corporations with globalization (exporting jobs to cheaper work force) are taking over the country, who in the end don't pay taxes. We are fucked. But i think the story is similar all over the civilized world. |

In Iran, Syria, Libya and Afghanistan, to name a few, the rebels have done a good job armed mostly with pistols and rifles. They have also acquired and used other weapons, but that is not what they started out with. Besides that, we have Militia groups that would be equal in training to most of the Alphabet agencies personnel. Then with the retired Military would more than counter the current troops. Then the "untrained" civilians make up a numerical superiority. So you argument is flawed at best. |

(in whatever form you believe in.) Our Founding Fathers believed that this Authority was Above ALL Governments, that Governments must answer to the People and to the "Creator" or "God". So the order is: God, The People, then the Government. NOT: The Government, then God, and lastly the people. People. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 30541819 United States 12/25/2012 04:15 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputy, Neil Gardner, was assigned to the high school as a uniformed and armed school resource officer. At the time of the shooting, Gardner was on his lunch break in his patrol car. He was just northwest of the school, watching students in the Smokers' Pit in Clement Park. Around 11:23, the custodian radioed him, requesting assistance in the "back lot". While on his way, Gardner heard on his radio that a female was down. While leaving the car, he heard in another call, "Neil, there’s a shooter in the school".[24] Harris immediately fired at Gardner, who was wearing a distinctive yellow uniform, as he exited the vehicle.[24] Gardner returned fire at Harris and Klebold, distracting them from the injured Brian Anderson.[4] (Anderson escaped to the library and hid inside an open staff break room.) Harris fired a total of ten shots at the officer, who reported a Code 33 (officer in need of emergency assistance) to his colleagues. [link to en.wikipedia.org] |
