Re: Tebow Time
So you parrot ESPN uhh.

I watched him win some incredible games in person.

He's the real thing.

How many snaps in the NFL have you taken?
 Quoting: MultiStrada

What games? How many of those Denver games were won by defense and field goals? That play off game against the steelers he was garbage, than in OT he connects an 8 yard slant pass that the WR takes 80 yards to the end zone. He is not or will he ever be a top 10 QB in the league. He simply cannot throw. Sure, he makes plays late in games, but he has never been consistent.
 Quoting: AmericanInfidel

Your talking the same shit that was being talked as he was winning in Denver. Seems he was better than the guy backing up Romo, and the guy starting for the Chiefs.

Tebow will always have detractors. People can't help it.
 Quoting: MultiStrada

I'm not talking shit. Just stating fact. I like Tebow. I do. But what he does off the field or his beliefs have nothing to do with how we should base out opinions on him of a QB. He simply cannot throw the football. Brady Quinn for the Chiefs? He can throw a football but can't run. Tebow is a run first, throw second guy. With the style of the league now favoring the passin game you just cannot win with a run based QB.

How soon people forget Tebow saved Denver last year and beat the Steelers in the playoffs in one of the most spectacular games ever.

Tebow, in the right situation, would succeed.

No. It was a short yardage throw in OT that the WR caught and ran 80 yards to the end zone. How's Denver doing this year with a real QB?

Exactly, the Broncos looked SO pathetic 90% of the time with Tebow playing, he did on several consecutive occasions play good football at the end of the games, but he STUNK most of the time, and he still STINKS as a QB.

That play that won the game against the Steelers was called by the coach, any idiot could have thrown that ball.

Re: Tebow Time
Tebow has a brain. He's a winner. His throwing mechanics are not classic, not very good, but he can make the most of his abilities and the situation on the field.

Sanchez is the opposite. He has a good throwing arm but makes a lot of mistakes. The mental mistakes don't get better and they cost many football games. Sanchez may look better with his greater throwing skill, but he makes the critical errors.

There were plenty of situations where one might just try Tebow to see how it went. Sanchez playing badly, yank him and give Tebow a quarter or a half to try to save the game. Not two plays. The Jets NEVER did that. They did everything possible to avoid giving this popular quarterback, who has not made a single mistake as a Jet, a shot to win the starting job.

How much shit do you expect Tebow to take? The only good thing is that Tebow isn't getting much wear and tear this year, he should be about as fresh next year, hopefully with another team and free to speak his mind then about Jets management.

Since when is Roethlisberger not a "real QB"?

Re: Tebow Time
But now, it’s very apparent that since coming to the Jets, all he’s been is a loser and a phony.

[link to newyork.cbslocal.com]

IOW, a typical religitard. lmao
 Quoting: New Age Messiah

Oh please dude, that entire article is a joke and we all know the Jets are circus of the NFL. What exactly has Tebow done that qualifies him as a "religitard"? He's basically been crucified not only by the Jets but the media as well since he got traded there. The Jets franchise especially the owner that said the 2012 election was more important then the Jets playoff chances is an absolute joke, nobody can suceed there.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 7736082

The Jets fucked him over. It looked intentional. They hardly let him play a whole series, even when he was going OK. They took him out for Sanchez, who is not a very good quarterback. They didn't even give him a chance.

This article is what, some fucking sportswriter who isn't worthy to carry Tebow's jockstrap calling him a phony. Tebow, who won the Heisman trophy. Tebow who for all the complaints about his passing skill, can pass and make completions. (Esp. if the receivers don't drop them.) Tebow who has a great head (unlike Sanchez) and great competitive spirit.

Re: Tebow Time
Speaking of the Jets I just saw a sportswriter say he thinks Sanchez will beat out Geno Smith to be the Jets' starting QB this season too, even though Smith is outplaying him in practice.

All I can figure is that the hispanic QB angle sells well in NYC and around the league. Affirmative action.
