Ok I will put it this way: Next year the bottom falls out of our economy, the dollar spirals into the abyss. While waiting for hours in a bread line the " lucky" and the "connected" are buying every last damn staple of food in sight . Now , you as Johnny come lately are left to pay these douche bags whatever their asking price or your family starves!
Same general supply and demand at work but far greater consequences . How many on this thread would be spouting the same argument for this get it first or get left out argument
It's about morals , if people will screw you for profits, they will definitely screw you when your life or your family's lives are in the balance.
This country used to not be like this, guess its just easier to pretend that's it a left vs. right deal. Our grandparents and great grandparents survived the Great Depression by working together and looking out for one another.
Today America has become a shadow of its former self . Our moral compass is broken therefore my glp friends ... We be fucked!

Lets truly think about that shall we?

Every person in this country has had years to stockpile food. AT ever $2 a week, you can stockpile a lot of food in a year.

So lets say you stockpile food, guns, and ammo spending extra money. you do without going to movies and driving nicer cars. you wear your clothes a little longer than your neighbors. you sacrifice, so that you can build a security net for your family.

the guy down the street from you, buys a new car every two years, buys every new thing, has multiple credit cards, and has been going out to the bar/movies every night, blowing all his money, without a care in the world, while you sat home saving money.

Now, things collapse, there is no food at the store, and no one knows when there will be food at the store. you have enough food for 1 year for your family, but you do not know if it will be enough, as you do not know how long bad times will last. Are you going to want to give your food stores to the guy that failed to prepare?

If you save up and pay cash for things and avoid credit, and this causes you to have en extra car, and your idiot neighbor drives with no insurance and wastes all his money, are you going to give him your extra car, because you have it and he doesn't??

Or are you going to recognize that in this circumstance, everyone started out equal, and the reason some have food, or ammo, or a car, is because those people sacrificed and prepared, and the reason other people do not, is because they lived frivolously and wasted their time and money.

The people standing in the food line with no food are standing in that line because they made poor decisions which forced them into that line.

the only case lots of bulk .223 are the steel cased tula crap (or the wolf) I think you paid waaaaay too much steel case used to go gor .20/rd.

Steel cased ammo WILL accelerate wear and tear on your chamber and especially the extractor. 2000 rds of steel will total your extractor- that's if you can shoot that many before the cases start getting stuck real bad in the chamber)

Yes it's the same ol " I'll be sitting back laughing" , till the tptb kicks in your friggin door and confiscates all your stores because that preppy come to lately turned your ass in for a slice of bread.
One thing my haughty friend, you can never be too prepared and the way in which we treat each other has consequences.
Enjoy your laughter for now, it won't last long. United we stand, divided we fall , well you just proved my point. Read a friggin history book about the shtf of yesteryear, you'll not last as long as you think my friend.

Re: Gun owners trying to make a huge profit off other gun buyers!!!
So has anyone else noticed, that private gun sellers are trying to butt rape their fellow gun buyers by asking 3-5 times the actual value of any gun that maybe even considered tactical .
For instance, on a very popular gun trading site AR-15s that were selling at $600 last week now are being privately offered at $2,000 to start. Cheap Ak-47s that go for $350-$400 are selling at above the $950 range .
And one stooge even has posted a box of 250 pmags that normally sell for around $12-15 a piece for $1,000,000 for the case and says he won't split the case up lmao- seriously people we are screwing ourselves more than this administration could ever do.
Hint people, don't pay the inflated prices and let these a--holes choke on their weapons and mags. Ar's are nice, but not that friggin nice.

It's all capitalism...nobody cares about anybody. Don't you get it...the same guys that claim they need/love there guns so much will murder every person they see and steal from them if it comes down to it. I'm going to wait until this all goes away or when another crisis trumps this one/ Then buy an AR-15 when supplies are stocked. They will not ban semi auto's there is too much money involved for corporations and no way to enforce by government.

Re: Gun owners trying to make a huge profit off other gun buyers!!!
Here's the real shit storm of it. The dumb asses have emptied the shelves at a time when the manufacturers are slowing production, waiting to see what the new rules will be. No AR maker is going to keep production at full speed ahead if the guns they make may not be sellable due to new laws. What would they do with 2000 partially manufactured AR's? So they have actually slowed manufacturing so they don't lose their asses if these guns are outlawed again.

what this means is that there is no inventory to re-supply those empty shelves! In other words' now the gun stores are cleaned out and can't get new inventory to re-fill their shelves. Right now they're looking at a wad of cash and no inventory and are being told 30-90 days to get new guns.. Guess how many gun shops will go out of business over the next 30-90 days?

Ruger had already stopped taking new orders because they couldn't keep up with demand, now it will take years for them to catch up. But with the prospect of losing millions in partially assembled and now illegal AR's they are in no hurry to boost production.

the gunnies screwed themselves by 1) buying all inventory in the US and hoarding it, and 2) making themselves look like the lunatics the left claims they are.

my opinion may be biased because I was told in november that I would be receiving a year end bonus and my plan was to buy my first AR with the money.. Now I can't because they're too expensive and there are now no magazines or bullets either. So society screwed me.

actually society screwed me. The only gun shop near me takes cash only, so I was waiting to get my bonus check so I could buy an AR. They cost $750. My bonus was $1000 - just enough. They had several AR's to choose from and also some AK's priced at $450 or so.

I went there thursday to put $100 down on one so they could hold it for me and they were all gone. I asked when they'd get more and they had no idea.. They told me the price for the AR was now $1750 and the AK's were $1000..

now I can't afford either, so you see, society screwed me.

how I could have possibly screwed myself is beyond my comprehension?

Obama was elected in 2008. You have had 4 years to get an AR, 8 years if you count the expiration of the 1994 AWB. How many big screen tv's, vacations or newer cars were bought by you since then?

.223 ammo is or can be real cheap if you know where to look.

I have been collecting empty brass since I was a kid, and I have a fair amount of it piled up.

At many shooting ranges or places where people shoot you can just scoop the stuff off the ground.

Also the steel-case ammo is fine. I have shot thousands and thousands of rounds of wolf through my mini and haven't noticed any unusual wear on the extractor or anything else. Very very few jams or FTE either. I have seen AR's choke on that stuff after just a few mags worth.

they are getting rid of the ones they know will have to be turned in or sold to the government when the assualt rifle restrictions become law.

same thing happened here after port arthur massacre.

state goverments were forced to counter it by offering huge money for high powered semi and automatics.

basically anything of that type post ww2 secured $1, 000, minimum. they also were forced to pay new market value for all attachments. black market dealers profitted more by selling their wares to state buy back centres, where total amnesty was granted.

private sales of regulated firearm types will be illegal when (or soon after) the legislation changes

our federal goverment, unlike america's, does not have the power to regulate firearms on a national level so things varied state to state.

My advice?? Cash out on the inferior design if you have one during the hype and get yourself an M1A or even an HK.....your investment will have payed off with enough money left over to customize a .308 caliber weapon, which you should have in the first place..
