Release all inmates convicted of "victimless crimes", that will fix the problem right there. Who would you rather have on the street? Pot smokers and hookers, or killers and thieves?

Our county jail is so full people have to wait years to serve any time. They had a huge meth bust and let all but a few out on p.r. bonds.

Prisons and jails do not exist in a free country.

Majority of the citizens under 25 have been to prison once. America is land of the it's only wrong if you get caught.

Yeah, because that makes fucking sense. If we don't get your money, we're gonna release the hounds on you! Instead of firing their fat lazy bureaucrats (We have like 50% of the population now working for government), they're going to release the prison population upon us instead.

Low level non violent types only. Actually there could be some benefit to all this because they won't be tieing up court time on bullshit beefs. Cops will have to make good cases and have their ducks in a row. This will curb the innocents they have been kicking up to the system on bullshit charges with no evidence. Its a two way street.

They have been abusing their funding also. Time to tighten the belts. Everybody else is.

The military can be kind of picky about criminal records.

If thugs are let out, they will be hired by the TSA.

You should be worried about him working for pennies on the dollar in jail..... costs society way more... and the cost of just feeding and sheltering them is staggering.

not to mention all the staff in jail and all the federal employees that need payment for just being a cog in a bigger system.
