Quoting: Anonymous Coward 29859719 I have never heard of that but I know charcoal is very useful! No B.S., it works very well. I use it about every 3 or 4 days. The rest of the time I use the Soda/D-Earth mix. My typical question with a lot of the stranger/more exotic items is where to find them? Online and or in a store? Also preferable cost effective options! Thanks "Only one candle left to burn now, before the darkness comes" "Happiness consumes itself like a flame. Chlorine-based bleach such as Clorox is a dilute solution of a chemical called sodium hypochlorite, with the formula NaOCl. The most common form of bleach in U.S. homes is chlorine bleach, also called sodium hypochlorite. I was wrong, bleach is alkaline, not acidic. I've got a few more I'm going to post tonight or tomorrow! I have been so much happier and have saved so much money since I've gone the DIY and natural route! I need to get serious about oil pulling since my gums bleed every time I brush my teeth and it's not the baking soda it started way before I started using it. I want to reverse this while I can. I'm glad you found a wonderful natural cure! I'm going to try really hard to stick to oil pulling again. My problem is I wake up starving I forget to oil pull and then I eat something and you are supposed to do it first thing in the morning before food water and even brushing your teeth. What oil do you use? I'm unsure which one works the best out of olive, sunflower, and sesame. I've heard people give a worthy mention to coconut oil for oil pulling but it's expensive and goes quickly and I enjoy eating it by the spoonful and putting it in my chai tea haha Also, you guys make sure the oils are not "toasted" Last Edited by _Obsidian_ on 12/26/2012 01:49 AM "Only one candle left to burn now, before the darkness comes" "Happiness consumes itself like a flame. It's a great way to avoid fluoride. It essentially polishes your teeth while killing bacteria. It will whiten your teeth if you have surface stains from beverages but if the stains are the result of antibiotics that is a deep stain and you will need to bleach your teeth. I tried it mixed with sea salt and my teeth were not only whiter but they looked like I had just left the dentists office for a cleaning. Try it it's cheap and works great! Look up Gingival Recession on wiki These things cause it Abnormal tooth position, such as tooth crowding, giving inadequate cover of one or more teeth by the jaw bone.[1] Hereditary thin, fragile or insufficient gingival tissue.[1] Overaggressive brushing,[1] which causes the enamel at the gum line to be worn away by scrubbing the sides of the teeth in a washboard fashion Periodontal disease[1] Inadequate brushing or flossing, which allows bacteria to build up between the teeth, resulting in enzymes eating the bone away from the teeth Improper flossing (i.e., flossing too roughly or aggressively) Eating disorders, from self-induced vomiting Dipping tobacco, which affects the mucus membrane lining in the mouth and will cause receding gums over time Grinding of the teeth (bruxism) Intentional gingival retraction. For example, the adult tooth may not grow out of the gum, and to remedy this, a procedure called an exposure is done. It involves the gum tissue being cut open to allow the adult tooth to grow out. This is a less common cause of gum recession. Adult orthodontic movement of teeth. Piercings in the lip or tongue that wear away the gum by rubbing against it. Sensitivity to detergents such as sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), which are found in most commercial toothpastes.[2] Scurvy "Only one candle left to burn now, before the darkness comes" "Happiness consumes itself like a flame.
