Quoting: Anonymous Coward 29117977 And, when I hear this crazy talk, I agree with them openly. “You are right. They will pry your gun from your cold dead hands,” which I often follow with the question, “And where will that leave you except face down in a pool of your own blood [in] the middle of the street, just another dead fool resisting the State?” This is not a question they are comfortable with, if only because the intent of their saber-rattling was to imply they would fight to keep their weapons, and win. Nice fantasy. It’s not happening. If the federal government decides to disarm the public, and when the increasingly-militarized police rolls down your street after a not-so-subtle request that you kindly turn over your firearms and ammunition “for the common good,” it will be nothing less than suicide by cop to do anything other than what you are told. The militarization of US police forces is ongoing and escalating. Many cities and towns now own tanks, armed personnel carriers, even attack helicopters, and almost all are outfitted with military weapons not available to the general public. (more) This is my thought on the subject. Politicians swore an oath to uphold the constitution, and if that ever happens they can and will be held accountable. If that isn't the line in the sand and we don't stand up it will be a slap in the face of every service member who gave their life and or limb defending our constitution. I'm a Libertarian Constitutionalist. I don't give a shit what you do with your own life, whether you make it a success or a failure, that is an outcome of the choices you make, but please take responsibility for yourself and don't make ME pay for YOUR choices and we're all good. It's a flower, not something to be feared. Thread: One "Member" That Everyone Should Know... Thread: Ben Swann leaving Fox 19, where should he go? [Poll] - Moo! |

Once a confiscation is on, the law is totally out the window. |

(more) [link to dailyreckoning.com] This idea that the Government is united is crazy! They can not agree on how to solve anything! Look at the current financial mess. Then look at how the various agencies fight each other, and you think they will suddenly start to work together? Right! Then, look at the various States, and their current "Gun Laws", that do not agree. All of these will just "line up" to fight against the people? Really? Not likely. Then, only fools talk about the militarization of Police, as if it were something, overwhelming. Numbers is where it is at. Civilians out number police already, then deplete it by those police(probably 50%) that will resist, and now you have a truer picture. Then, whole States would also refuse such an order. The Militia's and some of the Military would resist in mass, it would be chaos. In the End, it would never happen. |
