The tailings ponds are second to the Three Gorges Dam in that they hold that much waste water that has been used to make oil from the sands. It makes no sense. None of it. We have other means to create energy but it is important to keep the world hooked on oil for various reasons including political ones. Were fucked no matter which way you look at it. I do not think you have to worry about all that anymore. From what I gather, we are soon to be super-fucked. It can only get worse as we go further into the path of the wave.  |
