Webster NY ex-con that shot firemen supposedly left a 3 page typewritten note. How did it survive a fire that spread to 7 homes before being put out?

Police say William Spengler left a rambling 2 to 3 page type written note in the area. The note did not specify his motive but it did detail his intent - saying - "I still have to get ready to see how much of the neighborhood I can burn down and do what I like to do best - killing people.

My x-wife went to school with the younger brother I found out today . " he was a nerd . " she said of the older brother .

All the local news here is focusing on the Victim's , nothing more . Once the shooter was killed , the masses moved on to FEAR and SHOCK .

I listened to the scanner and local radio , ( Bob Lonsberry show) as it went down . A caller at approx 9:30 am said that road blocks had been set up to the EAST of the area .
The Shooter had taken the beach to a wooded area . This area would be a residential area . A strip of land 100 yds wide by 1000 yds . Water on both sides of a peninsula . this is a sand dune between Irondequoit Bay and lake Ontario . Just giving you some geography .

There was no where to RUN or escape ...Unless he had a submarine ..

The caller stated he heard GUNFIRE in the eastern area , " about 5 shot's were heard in the Eastern wooded area . "

They KILled that guy Spenglar and then Typed a suicide note which has not been released ... He Killed A COP . I will try to get that broadcast of Bob lonsberry . A person called in to the show as well as a long time nieghbor who had moved away last year . Her old house was burned down . She was quoted as saying " Spenglar said he would kill his siter when the mother passed away ."

This shooting was on the TOP five of WEIRD shit . I've lived here 46 years . The only other High profile case anywhere near to this was the arrest Of Arthur Shawcross .
