To me that means that The creator is the creator and no name or title will reveal him. god is above our consciousness and is what it is. However nothing against Muhammed, but that seems to narrow the the belief a bit. We are too stuck on being right and wrong right now in this age. We need to start accepting the unknowns and what we can feel. To be giving a particular name like Muhammed as god's prophet, well that detail is much to bold of a statement. |

I can't say for sure without seeing the whole thing. It looks like hands holding a scroll open, right? That would be very unusual iconography for a Buddhist statue, which makes me think it is probably Confucian or Taoist. The third character means "east." I can't read the others because they are in very flowing script. That kind of script is hard to read even if you know the language, its like a person's signature in English, often unreadable. Sorry I can't be of more help. |

It must be from Chinese indigienous religion, perhaps Confucian and/or Taoist. Perhaps it is one of the "five immortals" or another native Chinese God. Thankyou for your imput. I'll look into those mentioned. Anyone else with info would be looooveeely |
