It doesn't matter. What is happening as we type is that the NBC lawyers are going over the tape with a fine tooth comb. They will find a way to have the magazine "disabled" in a way which cannot be seen on the tape. They will then claim it was disabled before Gregory showed it. DC police will buy the story, and that will be the end of it.

What should have happened on that show is Wayne should have pointed out that the school where the "little Gregorys" go (Sidwell friends) has ARMED security already, not including the Secret Service which is there for the Obama's kids.
