Good answer, if roughly expressed. Which amazing, thoughtful and considerate gift did you give to your mom? Do you even respect or love your mom at all? Or is she just a parental unit -- there to serve your big ego? Just say "thank you" for the sweater, and try to exchange it for a large --- quietly and with grace and dignity. Also say "thank you" to God for the fact that you have a mom who is still alive, able to shop for you and who cares for you enough to want you to have a nice sweater that she thinks looks good on you. I sense that ingratitude and "love of self" will be your undoing in life..and the cause of much of your pain. Why not decide to be grateful instead? |
