| Anonymous Coward User ID: 11053105  United Kingdom12/26/2012 05:32 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ok,so here in the uk the day after christmas is a holiday named boxing day.ive always wondered why it was called boxing day so i searched it.it turns out that the day after christmas is when servents recieved a christmas box(gift)from their masters and were allowed to return home to celebrate christmas with their familys.also the same day in ireland is known as st stephens day,after the saint who was stoned to death for believing in jesus christ.does anyone else around the world celebrate this holiday?id love to know and btw happy boxing day to all.  |
