Here in lies the rub... I have the same routine you have, but I look at it differently.
Happiness does not seem to be finding someone or something, for me its about being thrilled with what I have and where I am.
Who knows maybe you will still find life boring and routine if you have a wife, child, or whatever else you feel will help you.
Just remember who ever you are with, or where ever you may go...
there YOU are.
I love being in rush hour, because I have a car.
I love being at home, because I have a roof over my head.
I love being at my work, because I have a job.
this is not a lecture I promise, I am just remembering being where you are and I had to choose to become happy.
