Laws only force law abiding people to give up their guns. The problem is evil people/murders will not get rid of their guns and use them to kill normal people. so when they evil people come after you, me or any sane person, what will you use to defend yourself? The police? The police would be great to protect you if you could convince them to setup a precinct in your home if you have money to pay for that. Most of us do not. Otherwise the police will probably arrive after something terrible happens. I hope you live a safe happy life in your delusional utopia and never have to experience the real world.

The thing is there will never be a day where all guns disappear from the face of the Earth. That's a pipe dream. So with my logic, let everyone have a gun and police your society of the undesirables. If you take guns away from law abiding people, the only people who will have them will be outlaws. Hell, if I was China or Russia, I'd supply them the guns to do my work for me. They do so around the world as does the US. I don't want to have to shoot someone but defense of family and myself, I have a duty. That's a pipe dream you have but it's nice to think that way.
