youre an enhanced member. you have pvt messaging.

you select a member to message by clicking on send message url from a post or the email icon from the who's online url.

yes you have to be logged into your acct to do this.

no you dont have to be logged in to browse or post in general

You can check the box under the log in to remain logged in at all times. When you bring up GLP, you will already be logged in.

To browse anonymously, do not log in. Please understand you will get ads & be subject to auto & IP bans during this time.

To send a private message to another member, look for the send message prompt under their name. This can be found on their posts or in a box above their name on their profile page.

I don't see "private messaging" on my avatar and list for me? Or am I missing it?

Look under the avatar of any member's post. You will see "send private message", click on this & a box will pop up where you can type & send a message.

When I first click on my favorites.. a page comes up that says I'm banned and I have to put my password in.

It's not on your own avatar. It's under the avatar of other posters.

Also, if you click the 'who's on' link at the top, there is the option to PM users there as well.

But I don't have a "send private message" option do I?

That means your IP is in a banned range. Just sign in.

I have to always sign in too. I promise, it is overall a good thing for all of us.

Ok ty got the message!! I had thought that when I originally joined I had declined the pm option as I thought it would go to my online email.


So thank you with that question.. but I'm curious why my IP is banned.

I was able for a short time to browse around anonymously .. then not able.

Did I do something that prohibits me from being anonymous? Just curious..

I know at some point someone gave me 2 red karma thumbs and I didn't even know why. Not that it matters much .. but I would at least like to know why things happen.

Only a few people wish to message themselves, so there was not sufficient demand to make such a button visible under our own names.

Besides, such a button could be very confusing to some.

Anyway, for your information, when I look at my own avatar, I only see three options, not the usual five. So I suppose I can't message myself, which is a pity really, cos I think it would be fun.

I have the little sticky reminder notes literally everywhere on my desk instead.
