You guys are all so awesome...Bless you all for the wonderful miracle you have bestowed on those who needed it...my heart is breaking for a GOOD reason, right now...I might actually cry..tears of happiness....

some might say this is the last place they would expect to see such generosity and kindness...I would have to disagree....we are all just trying to get through our struggles and when you stop and focus on someone else, your sufferings tend to be diminished...

I am thankful to have witnessed this event...To know there are so many kind souls still out there...

you did my heart good, so in a way, you also gave me a gift ....a gift that is priceless...

I hope this came out right. ;)

God Bless!

Re: Inspired by Trinity's generosity I will match his offer...
I've been goin around telling people. . ."If ya know someone that has an extra 40 grand laying around let me know!" . . . as a sort of joke.. . right after I tell them I want to send my sister to Mexico to a place that cures cancer.

My sister is about 10 years younger than me and I'm 37.
Its ironic that she would be the one to get it because she quit putting pepper on her food in high school because it causes cancer. Never did drugs. Never smoked.

She had breast cancer a couple years back and had them removed. . . Went to all follow ups and everything was fine.

A couple months back she had some health concerns, went to the doc, and found out her cancer is back everywhere.

Its in her lungs it in her bones among other places.

She has 3 children ranging from 4 to 8 or 9.

I would do anything to take her cancer away. I don;t understand why these things happen to the absolute best people in the world!!

Everyone please say a prayer for Yvonne. I hear the power of prayer can cause miracles and we need a miracle.
 Quoting: Cybil

I've said a prayer for everyone on this list, including your sister. Also, tell her I healed myself of bone cancer with natural health and positive thoughts. (I also had the help of a chiropractor.)

Anyway, have her check out this link and it will be helpful if she starts doing the things recommended here.

Re: Inspired by Trinity's generosity I will match his offer...
Hello, I'm a stay at home mom of three (they're very little children, so it makes way more sense for me to be here with them at this time...saves us way more money by having home cooked meals, only one vehicle, daycare expense, etc.) Just thought I would emphasize that before someone tells me to "get a job" haha, Also my husband is in the telecommunications business so our cable and internet are a courtesy job perk. Anyways, the reason for our need :)

First, I would pay the $95 left for the month for our rent. We shorted the landlord, but pulled off a MAGICAL Christmas with a mix of new and used gifts for the children :)

Second, my 6 year old washer decided to stop working Christmas Eve Eve...my wonderful husband has it all taken apart downstairs and thinks he narrowed it down to the water pump and belt, which will make the total parts $75. If this fails, I would use the rest of the money and find us a decent used washer (I would be so sad, as I really love this washer we bought new...I feel like we have a bond haha).

If you have children, you know how VERY important this appliance is in the household. But having that streak of survival in me, we've been making do.

Lastly, if there is any left over...I will spend it on groceries!! Can't have enough :)

I appreciate being consider, what a beautiful thing to do :)) "Win" or lose, I promise with all my heart to pass this act of gratitude on one day when we find ourselves in a better financial situation. Thank you so very much, Bless you!

Don't give up. It might be good news that you can't afford the medical establishment. If I were you, I'd start looking around at what alternative health can do for you. I healed bone cancer with it.

Start with this link. [link to www.earthclinic.com]
You will find people sharing what these things have done for them. I'm sure there are some on that website who have had the same thing as you.

All the best and I'm praying for you.

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 9 As it is written:

Re: Inspired by Trinity's generosity I will match his offer...
Brief,

There is a little girl who goes to school with my daughter. She is 8 yrs old and has Leukemia. Her family has put donation boxes all over town because they cannot afford her treatments. Plus the mother hasn't been able to work, since she must be with her 24/7

I have donated a bit, and will match your amount, if you choose my story.

I know it would be hard to know if I was really using the money for that purpose. I could take pictures or a video of me physically putting the money into her donation box.

Just a thought man, it just breaks my heart to see a little girl my daughters age have to suffer like that.
 Quoting: *HEISENBERG*

Thank you Brief, your generosity will do soo much for this family. I will match what you have donated...actually I was thinking that giving them a check for 666.66 might be a bit odd, so I will make it an even 700.

Please know I think this is incredible, my daughter was pretty upset about it when she found out, and it really has been tugging at my heart. No child should have to go through this. Hopefully this eases the stress and pressure they are undoubtedly under.

cheers
 Quoting: *HEISENBERG*

Thanks man, best investment I've made in a while...instantly doubled my money, plus some!

cheers

Brief

reposting what I wrote on Trin's thread it's a ditto to you.

bravo!

mahalo for doing this.

while I do still struggle as a single mom,I didn't apply as things are improving.... I've seen much, much worse: my oldest kidnapped by a pedophile (I'm still somewhat sane after that ordeal-didn't eat until I found word of him on the 40th day of searching for my first born...not the best way in the world to go down to 98lbs)
being nearly killed by exhus- took 2 years to recover from injuries...still carry some of the pain and scars... nearly miscarrying my baby- living in a domestic violence shelter - getting a restraining order and custody only to be stalked and followed (the law was no help) death threats -living out of my car - I could go on and on.
but God's grace and kind strangers got us through.

I wouldn't have clothes for my 5 yr old then would feel led to look in a dumpster and there in a box, neatly folded were new clothes age 6. I have a hundred miracles just like this....amazing grace.

walked by a child's zoo locomotive with my child, wishing I had the $`12 to get us in and go for a little train ride - then a $20 bill flew by our feet as we walked thru the parking lot. we both KNEW it was a miracle.

things are better now. still pinching pennies, but my children are older and the dangers have diminished and I can breathe again after many years of living in hiding.

So, from a single mom who's known nothing but struggle and knows what it is to live in hiding from an abuser...who can finally breathe again...

thank you-

thank you, Trin for giving to those in need...I can't give what you can...but I can give thanks to you and every one who gave.

I thank God for this wild and crazy but honest slice of
free thinking and free speech
that is GLP

I am posting on here too, but I also posted on Firewatch, incase he has already chosen. Any way... I have three boys, and live off a very tight fixed income. I don't get food stamps because I try to run an ebay business. It has a lot of slow times, and it has been very slow. I am not asking for much at all. My boys need some new shoes. Its been real tight on money, and I managed to give them one gift each for Christmas this year. That was the best I could do. They didn't want shoes to be their present though, understandably so. I would be willing to trade clothing or something like that. For some shoes for my kids. My youngest wears youth size four, my middle son wears adult men size 9.5 and my oldest teen wears adult size 13. I have looked at thrift shops here and there aren't any in their sizes, and ebay is expensive on shoes. If you want to help me you can message me on here, or email me sumerianism@yahoo.com Thank you hf

I would like to be considered for one of the gifts. I live alone and am unable to work due to disability. Right now I'm not making enough to make ends meet. I've started trying to sell whatever I can to get through the past few months.

I got a letter from my landlord the day before Thanksgiving that he's raising my rent $100 on January 1st. This means I have to find a new place to live since I won't be able to afford the rent any longer. The money would help give me a couple months to find a new place to live and/or help me pay for movers.

Thank you for your consideration. :)
