A Surprise: John Kerry Has Also Arrived At The White House With Nancy Pelosi and Geithner As Fiscal Cliff Talks Begin...NO DEAL!!!

After a conference call this afternoon, House Speaker John Boehner and other Republican leaders once again tried to put the onus on the Senate in fiscal cliff negotiations.

In a joint statement, Boehner and three other Republicans called on the Democratic-led Senate to act on budget bills passed by the GOP-controlled House, the week after Boehner failed to drum up enough Republican support to bring his "Plan B" to a vote on the House floor.

The irony is that due to the reduced spending and higher taxes from the Cliff, the debt ceiling extension may last into April/May

If Boehner can't get his party to support his own 'plan b', how does he expect the tea party faction to support a plan from the Democrat controlled Senate? Boehner and the do-nothing Congress is punting the ball like they always do. The new Congress in January is gonna roll in for a touchdown for what will be forever known as the 'Obama tax cuts'.

As always, unfortunately the number of people in the middle class continues to shrink and the amount of their income continues to also shrink....soon the middle class will be no help at all.

??? Last time I looked at any credible source the total commitments to social security, medicare, medicaid and federal pensions totals over $100 trillion. These are payouts due before 2025. Think we'll grow enough to provide taxes for that?

If you don't want to talk "entitlements" then we know ObamaCo has backstopped Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac with outstanding mortgages around $6 trillion and we all know that fed has pumped in over $24 trillion since 2008.

Now ask me when the banks make $24 trillion from creating the disaster we saw in 2008, what will stop them from creating a bigger, larger more cataclysmic event in the near future?

Right. The only reason Boehner now says the Senate must act first is because he couldn't even get the House to pass his own Plan B.

Boehner is dead in the water as far as leadership goes. His own party won't listen to him. The wing nuts in the House aren't going to go along with any compromise that includes any tax increases whatsoever yet if we go over the cliff that's going to raise taxes on EVERYBODY.

Hell, they could probably just go in and move a decimal point, not like anyone understands what the hell the budget is or what the fed does anyway behind closed doors. We wouldn't even know the difference and no one else would either.
