How fast did it move? Was it a steady pace or was it variable/jerky? Was it transparent, translucent, solid? What colors did it appear to be?

It was at eye level (I am sitting on the couch, so about 4 feet off the ground). It lasted about two seconds, and traveled about two feet. As it moved, It looked like it was spreading a trsil of that wierd distortion behind it. Like if you dragged your finger through water. No noise, and my wife didn't see it. It wasn't scary or anything, more like "ok, am I having a stroke or wtf?"

If you ever wanna see some weird shit that is mind blowing. Get a radio with a headphone jack and plug in to it and turn it on a station that is just static and lay down, don't move, and put ping pong balls cut in half on your eyes. It causes the same effect but way more intense you actually start dreaming while you are awake. You wont remember anything but you are completely conscience and you can talk so you can have a recorder and talk to it. It is a fucked trip and you see some weird shit I've seen terrorists and pokemon and shit it was fucked up.

I think I've seen phosphenes. Like when you rub your eyes and you see sparkles? Not quite like that. It was more like if I was looking at my living room in a puddle, and something was dragged across the surface, making the image ripple. It was actually very cool looking.

Idk man it could be a hallucination. You could have gotten abducted by aliens also. If it were a hallucination and you saw your living room ripple my advice would be see a neurologist.

may just go see the doc if it happens again. Could be all of the constant surfing of GLP on my phone. Eyestrain? I don't know. I am in Ohio, and I don't think even space aliens would be out in this weather we are having.

Wait You weren't playing a video game that has a scrolling background or were scrolling up and down a lot online were you? If you were then yeah that is just like an optical illusion your brain pretty much gets confused and you see shit distorting and changing shape and all sorts of shit. I used to notice it a lot while playing guitar hero.

Not really. I have seen that too. Where you have a burn-in image that stays with your vision after you look up from what you are doing? This looked more like a special effect, sorr of like what Donnie Darko started seeing (if you've ever seen that movie), I'm just going to chalk it up to lack of sleep and eye fatigue for now. i dont know if its some type of energy that is easier to see or what... but its almost like "seeing stars" when you get hit really hard or take a huge hit of weed lol

makes me wonder if we're seeing inter dimensional beings
