Re: Doctors' Want Kitchen knives Ban in UK......
I have the answer , seriously . Ban all human life, that way we would never have another casualty .

Are we going to ban the Police ? we had over 1000 deaths whilst in Police custody 2010/2011 and not 1 prosecution . Funny that .

Oh wait, that's what they are planning on anyway, is it 6.5 billion of us ? So why the fuss about some little old knives .Freaking morons, it's not a nanny state,It's a police state/Dictatorship we live in .
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 29068545

I demand full testing of kitchen knives upon police officers to determine whether or not police should be banned and if knives are a danger.

They argued many assaults are committed impulsively, prompted by alcohol and drugs, and a kitchen knife often makes an all too available weapon.
 Quoting: Panhead

Typically with me a violent assault is far more likely in the ABSENCE of alcohol and/or drugs wtf

wtf What's wrong with you guys over there?

In the United Kingdom, there are more than 5,000 glassing attacks each year.
[link to en.wikipedia.org]

The most common method of glassing involves the attacker smashing an intact glass in the face of the victim. However the glass may be smashed prior to the attack, and then gripped by the remaining base of the glass or neck of the bottle with the broken shards protruding outwards.

Common injuries resulting from glassings are heavy blood loss, permanent scarring, disfigurement and loss of sight through eye injury.

So instead of rounding the tips they just want to ban them outright... lol. Why not ban drugs and alcohol, since they're the reason people want to use kitchen knives to attack each other apparently. In fact lets ban anything that can be used as a weapon of any sort and wrap everything in baby proof padding because god forbid someone might get hurt.

WAKE UP PEOPLE!
It's not the guns. It's not the kitchen knives. It's people! People are what is responsible for the shootings and stabbings.
Thats the solution. I see it clearly now...BAN PEOPLE!

We need to keep this bumped, guys, seriously.

This is an example of what will come to the US if we don't watch out.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8397139

That is pretty funny. The US is scratching their heads over the ability to mow down 20 people in a second with high-capacity clips while the UK frets over a kitchen knife.
That's like being afraid of losing your nuclear bombs because Zimbabwe is worried about throwing rocks. Better watch out. Those rocks can be pretty hard.

what's funny is that people believe banning items that wasn't even used will make a difference....ie: AE15's at SandyHook.

Instead of investigating the possible role they and their drugs have in violence, they want to ban objects the majority have been using with no problems for centuries.

there are, on average, 10,000 deaths a year from gun violence

meanwhile, on average, there are over 100,000 from allergies to medications and pharmaceuticals which were incorrectly prescribed

and that is a conservative number
