Why do streetlights, among other types of lights, flicker or go on and off when I approach them?
This is the best forum I could think of to give such an inquiry. It's the oddest thing, but it feels natural. I don't reckon myself to be any sort of mystic or extraordinary sentient being, but I do posses a natural awareness of the metaphysical plane, with above average powers of perception. I embrace the life force, I accept the God around and inside of me. I'm familiar with the serendipitous "coincidences" that coincide with being conscious and aware of the mathematical nature of the universe. Annnnnyways, that's all just to give you a vague picture of what kinda guy I am. What does this mean? Is there rhyme or reason to it? Happen to anybody else, perhaps?

Have your doctor check you for osmolality. That will tell if you're dehydrated and causing interference. If not then your energy is super awesome! Try drinking some electrolytes. flower

This has happened to me since I can remember and I always thought it was normal. Then I was driving one day with a friend of mine who got scared that all the street lights turned on and off. I explained to him this was very normal and he did not agree so I started searching and found this thread. I am indeed A- blood type how does that play into this?

Don't read to much into it OP. you are just human like all of us.

Humans give off electricity pulses too. It can affect street lights and other electronics. Happens to me all the time...It does not mean I posses paranormal abilities.

There is this one girl who kills TV's and light bulbs by simply walking close to the object.

Google it.

Right, I tried to put off in my original post that I wasn't coming at this with any sort of ego, just a brief description of the things I think about and believe in to give a better gauge for posters here to go by. But, I also don't chalk up to the same sort of nihilistic rationalization as you, as if the cause can be anything but a banal and uninspired "just because".

No sir, first time I've posted on this site, actually. Admittedly, I should have followed polite forum protocol and done a search before I started a topic, because now I see multiple post on the same subject from years past. Sorry.

Re: Why do streetlights, among other types of lights, flicker or go on and off when I approach them?
Sounds like you have a high electromagnetic field. All of us have electromagnetic fields, they allow messages to flow thru our nervous systems. These fields are also in the environment as well. Such as power lines, anything electric, etc.

Sometimes our body can absorb too much from outside stuff like that, and when combined with what we already have, we can zap things. lol Ever walked across a carpet in the dark and touched something, seeing and feeling a little spark? It's normal.

For those who have absorbed too much, the things like what you are experiencing can happen. When that happens, be careful around large expensive electrical things like computers or cars, etc, because you might 'short' them out.

Interestingly enough, it seems that most folks with a high electromagnetic field tends to be 'supercharged' every now and then. It isn't usually a continual life-long thing, but can reoccur.

Look up ' electromagnetic field ' online. Some very interesting reading!

Happens to me also, Op. Other weird things: In the past year or so I am no longer able to wear a watch because they keep stopping on me. Also, if I'm really really angry and flip a light switch to turn on a light, the lightbulb blows and I have to replace it with a new one.

You are being followed by a demon and you must WORSHIP JESUS NOW or you are forever DOOMED!
tounge

On a more serious note, Natural awareness to the metaphyscial planes usually means you are a more advanced soul to some degree.
The electronic interference is just your E.M.F (aura) interfering with an electronic object as the EMF is energetic in nature. Certain people like yourself either naturally have a stronger current radiating or they are able to draw in a more Prana to create a stronger field in the Aura.

Hope i helped ;)

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1905001

A + or - blood type is determined through the rheusus test which compares the blood to that of a rheusus monkey, usually during pregnancy because if the mother is a + and the unborn baby a - it can be dangerous to both the mother and baby and special precautions have to be taken since they are sharing the same blood stream and will try to reject one another.

There is a theory that people with type - are not from the same evolutionary gene pool as those with a type + and - is a lot rarer than +.

Youtube has a lot of vids about this issue. It is weird.

I have type A - as well and have always had weird things go on with electricity. Sometimes lights, though never street lights, but I can't wear a watch because they always stop and I have owned cars that have had the most bizarre electrical problems when I drove them, etc.

Nobody is quite sure what it all means as far as I've been able to tell through reading about it.

I do not subscribe to any religion, you assign your own connotations to the word "God". Semantics are a problem. But no, you're projecting ego. I came here for opinions from people more well-versed in these manners than I. The EMF and blood-type theories seem to be the most plausible. Get a grip on your perceptions.

It means the ballast in the housing is going out. Call the utility company and they'll replace it. That stops the on/off cycling.
