What is this in the sky in the Popocatépetl volcano webcam?

I am not completely fluent in Spanish but I do believe it says that the view shows the north side...This would mean it is facing south...

Interesting! If this isn't fake or tampered with, it looks to be something that shouldn't be there. Its not a asteroid or comet, we know that. Anyone's guess.

Yeah, it's probably nothing major but it is interesting like you said...
Also,I could be wrong but it appears to be smaller than when I first noticed it...

top right? if so, could be the moon partially covered by clouds, at least on the present pic.

ok, so it's not the moon, and it's moving slowly to the left, but much faster than the stars in the background.

I've got 50 pics so far, it's moving in a straight line at a steady but slow speed towards the right.

It sucks that it is moving out of the view of the camera...

Can anyone of you post your screen cap of the object? It's 2:01am EST and I guess I missed it.

Is that volcano erupting? Looks awfully bright on top.

wish I coulda seen it.... from how you guys are describing it, it sounds like it was a light ship you saw!

The volcano is erupting...It has been for months...
I did not catch any screenshots...really wish I would have caught the very first one I saw because it appeared to have a very short tail...My only guess is that it may have been a comet but chances are slim...

Just wanted to add that I see the same 'star' on the cam tonight...
Has to be a planet of some kind...

There is a beam of light from or to the volcano to the sky.

I have also seen that beam of light...
About to go thru the screen caps that I have to see if it is present...

It may be Jupiter, as it is EXTREMELY bright right now, in its closest perihelion to earth.

This is the same volcano that was featured in a few youtube clips where a ufo is shown going into and leaving...

I have 2 pics where a beam is visible...
If any member cares to see and maybe post them up here let me know and they will be sent to you asap...

Want to add that of the 15 or so screen caps that I have, that big bright star is nowhere to be found...

so tempting to take a screenshot and clean it up to see what im looking at but too tired must sleep

Same as last night, it has move out of the pic to the right and is no longer visible...
Also, I saw the title to a thread briefly today that went along the lines of 'what are these red stars' or something to that effect...
I am seeing what I perceive as red stars on this cam
