Links only worked for me when I renewed my annual membership, which I had to do because my ip got banned after I replied to a post stating that external links weren't working for me either. Not sure how that got my ip a ban (which is annoying in its own right). But the external link problem, whether or not intentional, is fixed by having a paid account.
