I never forgive and I never forget I am a licensed firearm holder. I will, under protection of law, use lethal force if attacked. |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 16845676 United States 12/27/2012 08:35 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The text on Saenredam’s print connects the episode to a series of disasters that occurred between the end of 1601 and the summer of 1602: the port of Ostend was besieged by Archduke Albert’s army; reports from Spain indicated that a grand armada was about to sail for the Netherlands; and there were reports of a solar and lunar eclipse, earthquake, and a severe outbreak of the plague. Like so many other “disaster” prints of the period, Saenredam’s print thus functions as both oracle and descriptive document. Berkland says when this occurs, it interferes with sea mammals' and even migratory birds' ability to navigate, which explains the mass beachings. He claims dogs and cats can also sense the disruptions, which explains elevated rates of runaway pets 1–2 days before earthquakes. Research on Earth's magnetic field and how it is affected by moving tectonic plates and earthquakes is ongoing. [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] so East Coast be mindful |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 30253432 United States 12/27/2012 08:41 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Can't the Mayor just pass a law outlawing whales from "loitering" on NYC beaches? This would solve the problem, right? Oh, and how long before lines form with people screaming "They's gots my Obama blubber and won't gives me none. I wants my free Obama blubber!" But this IS a sad story. TV reports I saw this morning showed it was very malnourished and should have been far south by this time of year. |
