For the past three years I've been paying $10/gallon for my family's milk. But it's local, raw, unhomogenized and delivered. Makes amazing ice cream, buttermilk,yogurt.. Can't stand the stuff in stores. Tastes like water...

Wow what state is that? I've never lived in a state where it could be delivered.

I live in Washington state, and you can get it in the stores here too, but hardly anybody will pay the high price so only the health food stores carry it. There are little, local dairies all over the place, and they've made a point of having delivery routes to support their herds. One dairy only has two cows, LOL. But they put out alot of milk, The dairy I buy from has 20 cows, and they are rotated in and out of service so they don't wear out like the factory cows do. I can visit them any time, they even have massage machines for the cows after they are milked!!! Yes,Washington is pretty cool, which is prob why we also legalized weed this year as well. ;-)
