NK want to reunify the peninsula - it is a kind of 'sacred mission' to them - the obstacle to them ever achieving that is the existence of the US as a superpower. One EMP strike against the US from say an orbiting satelite, or a scud missile launched from a coastal freighter would solve all of that.


Iran is an insane theocratic regime run by 12'ver mullahs - their overiding mission is to prepare for and hasten the arrival of their Mahdi so he can lead them on an end-times world conquest/slaughter of all the infidels, polytheists, kuffars, unbelievers, idolaters, jews, Sunnis, atheists, communists etc.

The obstacle to them ever achieving that goal is the existence of the infidel nuclear powers and the numerical dominance of the Sunnis. Provoking Israel to attack it's nuclear facilities and starting WWIII would solve all of their problems.
