So anytime anyone says anything positive about how zombies are entertaining or they are waiting for the ZA are definitely under pretty heavy MC. George A Romero used zombies as social satire. Particularly in the original Dawn of the Dead, where the zombies kept returning to the shopping mall. One of the characters mentioned that it might be because they remember something of their past lives and felt drawn to a place they often visited and loved. There's also the fact that the untoppable hunger of zombies represents out ever-expanding consumer society. We are always hungry for that next thing and abandon what we have to possess it. |
