How will you be able to kill without them? lol Quoting: Mehdi 17601732 Peace be upon you. your assholes seem to do a great job murdering people with their feet, with broken bottles and with rocks the only difference is people can't defend themselves yeah, way to go please explain to me how eliminating honest people's self defense against insane feral mobs is better? ... Hey there IX! After reading numerous posts by the British and Australians, I've come to the conclusion that they are hopelessly stupid. They do not comprehend logic, and are impervious to the most obvious facts and statistics. I believe with all my heart that the British government did the right thing by taking their firearms. My hat goes off to the noble governments of Australia and Britain for having the common sense to realize that their populace was too stupid to own weapons of any kind. Even their doctors understand that the British public can not be trusted with mere kitchen knives. I think that, in these two unique incidents, the governments of Britain and Australia did the right thing by disarming their citizens. well the key difference is that they were not born from a successful revolution I never realized that was such an important part of our national personality until I lived in a commonwealth nation its like never having moved out of mom and dad's, even at the age of 50...you still do what mom tells you without questioning the logic not saying everyone in countries under the Queen are like that, but by and large most are used to being told what to do by their "betters" or inherited elite memories of the Magna Carta fade... The ornery elements in the USA are like that wild brother who left home and joined a biker gang. Sure later he got back in touch with the folks, but you can never quite trust him, right? The good little siblings who always obeyed the parents resent him and perhaps secretly envy his experiment with independence, but can't allow themselves to go there because they are so under the thumb that even contemplating anything similar it's called "Amercan exceptionalism" and it is what they want to eliminate, so that global rules, global laws and the "harmonization" of population restrictions will have no obstacles as they move forward with their vision of the next milennia |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8397139 Our government has trodden over us too much lately for my tastes. Contact your representatives NOW and tell them that you do not support ANY legislation, registration, etc. they swore to uphold the constitution, if they don't give a shit about that, why would they give a shit about what you say. I agree, but it doesn't matter. Speak up now so they can't say "well we didn't hear anything from the public so we thought it was okay." Then, when/if they do that it will be a lie, and the truth will be on our side. This way we look good and have legitimacy if this legislation gets heated. that's not how it works, they only hear what they want to hear. Then they say the American people called for it. Okay man, I'm not going to argue with you. Everyone else - trust me on this - contact your representatives and tell them in no uncertain terms that, as their constituent, you oppose any new firearms legislation and you want them to vote accordingly. It very likely doesn't make any difference, however, they need to see the groundswell of opposition to any new legislation. Let them hear from you. |

That one also limited magzines to 10 rounds or less, only grandfathered in handguns were exempt. I know because I own a bunch of those post ban 10 round glock mags. My first handgun purchase was in 98..it was nice after the ban expired..was able to buy 15 round for a reasonable cost. if you google the 90s AWB its all there in writing for people who didnt own a gun during it |

The Clinton ban also prohibits a private individual from possessing a "large capacity ammunition feeding device," defined as "a magazine, belt, drum, feed strip, or similar device . . . that has a capacity of, or that can be readily restored or converted to accept, more than 10 rounds of ammunition; but does not include an attached tubular device designed to accept, and capable of operating only with, .22 caliber rimfire ammunition." Those manufactured on or before Sept. 13, 1994, including those made outside the U.S., are not defined as "devices" and are legal to possess, transfer and import. Those manufactured after that date must be stamped to indicate the date of manufacture. The law places the "burden of proof" upon the government, not the individual, in the event of a criminal charge relating to possession of a "device." v [link to www.nraila.org] |
