Its a semi auto shotgun. not a pump. Not even close to an AR15 or and AK...

Great find! I say this because the long rifle which is being removed from the car appeared more like a shotgun than an assault rifle... HOWEVER, this part of the video has an audio of someone saying "That's an assault rifle, isn't it?"

That issue is now resolved.

There are two videos circulating -- if one hasn't been scrubbed -- one taken during the day and one taken during the night, of two different weapons. I don't know weapons, but someone did point out the difference and even named the weapons, wherever it was I saw the videos and comments posted, days back. This reeks of intentional misdirection by planting contradictory data to confuse the picture.

False. Was clearly not an AR. ARs have rear charging handles, not side. Plus, you can see a shotgun shell being ejected. It's a saiga 12 gauge with a dragonov or thumbhole stock. saiga makes ak-style guns in shotgun as well as rifle calibers. What you're seeing is a shotgun, as reports suggest.

What churns me off is these issues...

There was a "Security Drill" scheduled that same day, at approx the same time 20 miles away.

Studio snapshots of the Sandy Hook victims abound, there is little, if any, eyewitness testimony of the corpses except for Carver and his staff.

Why are there no routine eyewitness from the surrounding areas

Where is the photo evidence

Where is the video evidence of the crime scene’s aftermath

broken glass

blasted security locks and doors

bullet casinngs

bullet holes

damaged walls and floors

—all of which are common in such investigations and reportage.

Medical Responders were denied entry to the school.

Who were the qualified medical practitioners that pronounced the 20 children and 7 adults dead?

Who decided that NONE could be revived?

Medical Rescue Teams were forced to set up a primary and secondary triage off school grounds.

None of you have to listen to me...but I have 25 years experience handling NATO and Soviet weapons in the US Army. I have been around firearms my entire life for that matter.

But what is being shown in that video IS NOT an AR15 rifle. It just isnt! At 1:21 of the video, you can clearly see a 12 gauge round eject as the officer clears the weapon. Additionally, the AR15 charging handle is behind the upper and draws back along the stock, and NOT along the right side of the firearm from the breach as being shown in the video.

To me, this is the most damning evidence of the manipulation, and disinformation being pushed by the politicians, media, and antigun groups. If an AR15 was indeed recovered at the school...where are the pictures of it, or video of the officers holding it up at a press conference as they have the propensity to do when things of this magnitude happen? Where is the additional media footage of the weapon, clearly showing it? If this fits their agenda, you know damned well that they would be showing it again and again.

My opinion, and it is just that....is the firearm "recovered" from that trunk was not an AR15 or similar firearm, but a shotgun. Most likely, but based on the grainy footage not 100% unsure of, is a Saiga 12 gauge shotgun.

Its pretty widely known that its a shotgun at this point, especially due to the way he unloads it and the size of the cartridges.

Glad to see I am not the only one with common sense, and the ability to recognize obvious signs the average non gun owner would miss and believe the media on.

I think everybody missed the real meat
of that video.

that trunk was NOT Lanza's car.
it was a cop car. it was a cop's gun.
he was clearing the rounds in it so he could
store it away in the trunk where they keep them
when not in use.

Lanza did not drive a black sedan
to the school.

that trunk is on a black sedan.
un-marked cop car.

so it does not matter if that was
an AR-15 in the footage or not.

another giveaway that it's not Lanza's car or gun
is that the officer is NOT wearing gloves to
handle the evidence.

authorities would use gloves to gather
evidence and dust for prints.

just a cop putting his gun up and a fellow
cop holding the light so he could see.

The cops pulled 2 guns out of the trunk. There is a helicopter video of the whole thing...not the short clip of the fake cop unloading the one gun.

Many might be shocked to know that the Coroner is not a medical doctor or any kind of doctor. The coroner is a POLITICIAN and administrator. Autopsy are overseen by the medical examiner.

Hmmm...

There are two MAJOR inconsistencies/discrepancies with the video apparently taken from a helicopter at night, looking down on the gathered State Troopers at the trunk of a vehicle.

1. Why was it not until complete darkness (at the earliest, this video was taken at 5 p.m., although it could have been much later.) That marks at least 7 full hours between the time when police claim to have secured the school building, and when the trunk of the suspect's car was searched. Did not a single investigator or local Newtown police officer or CT State Trooper think to check the vehicle of the suspect for explosives or further evidence?

2. How is it possible that the man (ostensibly a CT State Trooper) seen handling the long-barreled gun (rifle or shotgun) is not wearing gloves to prevent contamination of the crime scene?!? It is readily evident that the proper, basic steps were not taken to prevent contamination/loss of evidence! He handles the rifle/shotgun with his bare hands, clears the chamber, and nobody standing around him thought to say, "Wait a minute! Don't touch that! You don't have gloves on! You know standard operating procedure! You could ruin evidence!"
