As someone who's wife worked as an art director in the industry and I as an actor can tell you that nothing in a major motion picture is ever just bought and not "greeked".

If he lived in Newtown, he probably knew the Sandy Hook school and wondered why he was told to change the area called South Hinkley to Sandy Hook.

What's even more weird is that he died when an 18 year old "lost control of her car". No charges were filed, not even manslaughter. Usually if someone dies because of your vehicle, even if it was totally accidental, you WILL be charged with manslaughter.

The Stamford Advocate is reporting that a 46-year-old Newtown man was killed in a motor vehicle accident on the Merritt Parkway near Exit 36 in New Canaan on Friday.

"According to the Advocate, Alexandra Orteig, 18, of New Canaan lost control of her vehicle while driving south on the parkway and spun around, hitting the center median guardrail and crossing into the northbound lanes, where her vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by Scott Getzinger, 46, of Newtown. Getzinger died of his injuries, while Orteig was taken to Stamford Hospital and later released, according to the Advocate.

No charges have been filed. More information is available here."

To play devil's advocate for a second... might this not explain WHY "Sandy Hook" was on the map in the first place? Perhaps he was trying to think of names of places to put on the map so he ended up thinking of a school he knew about in the area?
