Fact. fact I don't even own a gun but I am a student of history, not just American however, I do believe that the founding fathers of the United States were some of the most brilliant of the Enlightenment politicians and we were blessed to have had them set the principles of our nation Were they perfect? Of course not, but they understood the weaknesses and foibles of humanity and they had seen far too many oppressive rulers in Europe to naively believe that government always has our best interests at heart And after years of studying international politics and history I do know the signs and signals of a government that is up to no good Sadly, ours has morphed into something which is something to be concerned about If you don't see that, then there is little hope for you at this point I would hope that if I were in Europe in the 1920s and 30s, I would do the right thing, even if I didn't survive I hope that now I have the courage to speak out I didn't care for George Bush, and I don't care for Obama Its not a horse race between Tweedledee and Tweedledum I hope it doesn't come down to a showdown between any of us and our own government.
