I doubt this bill will pass as its currently written. Even if it got through the Senate, it's very unlikely it would pass in the House. I'm sure the Dems already know this. So what's their agenda with this bill?

Are they trying to deepen the political divide in the US? If so, to what end? Do they want a civil war?

Or are they just trying to distract us from some other issue(s)?

Or could they simply be putting on a show for their supporters to make it look like their doing something to solve the gun problem while, in the end, very little will change at all?

Maybe they've included some of the more extreme parts so that at the end of the bargaining process they'll still get what they really want.

Surely they know that some of these proposals have no chance of being approved. So what's their endgame?

A civil war is, simply put, a war between citizens of the same country.
