On Dec. 21, TODAY aired a segment that included an interview with Alba conducted by NBC's Jeff Rossen through the front door of her home (Alba refused to appear on camera, but consented to an audio interview). During the interview, Alba denied posing on Facebook as the aunt of Noah Pozner, a 6-year-old victim of the Sandy Hook shooting

I was flumoxed when I heard in the first days after the Newtown massacre, that there were multiple funds being set up and donations were pouring in. I heard on the local southwestern Connecticut radio stations (WELI 960am and WICC 600am) there were drives quickly organized to get money donated for the relatives (not the nuclear family, but extended family- such as aunts & uncles, grandparents, and cousins) to be able to take care of immediately pressing bills and expenses. One of the drives organizers explained, "We are collecting donations for the relatives to pay their mortgages, gas for their vehicles, food expenses, utilities bills, etc. There will be more opportunities for donating to these families in the future, perhaps college funds for surviving siblings who lost a little brother or sister, memorials, and such, but for now, we are raising money for the families for their immediately pressing issues."

I was absolutely flabbergasted! I could see organizing drives and donation websites and 1-800 numbers if this tragedy had happened in a school in Bridgeport, CT's West End (dirt poor, so many housing projects) or if it had happened in the slums of Compton, Los Angeles, or some other destitute area of the country. I can understand people being touched and wanting to donate money for these families, or in memory of the slain children.
But, these people do not need the money to pay their mortgages! I would be willing to bet the current monthly mortgage payment on a house in Newtown, CT would be at least $1,500....perhaps as high as $4,000-$5,000 for the great mansions. These are C-level executives, old money families, living in the richest county in the entire union!

On a similar note: I heard on the radio that there are still people in NYC and NJ whose homes were devastated by Superstorm Sandy....leaking roofs, flooded basements, still no electricity, no working refrigerators, using scarce bottled water, etc....And I heard one of the women on the radio (she lived in NJ, where Bruce Springsteen is from), "Bruce, it was great you organized and played at the fundraiser on 12/12/12, but where is the money? We haven't seen a single penny of it yet!"

And you know what? She won't. It was another parasitic, opportunistic grab at cash, playing off kindly (albeit naive) peoples' emotions, by the vampiric sociopaths who run the music industry and the mainstream media.

Its really sad that some people will stoop to that level to profit off of someone else's nightmare.

Sad world we live in today. This beautiful child, he looks so much like my boy.

But, these people do not need the money to pay their mortgages! I won't reveal how or why but I happen to know at least one of the affected families is nowhere near wealthy. They lived in a small home and both parents work a lot to give their kids an OK life, but they were not rich by any standard.

As for giving to the Newtown parents, you don't think they'll miss time from work to mourn and deal with the loss of their child? To help any surviving siblings deal and understand with the violent death of a sibling? Perhaps once the burials and holidays pass by and reality sets in, they'll find it easy to re-integrate back into their work, as if nothing has happened?

Conspiracy or not, their child is gone and nothing can change that. I'm sure they appreciate the monetary donations given to their family, and while that still won't bring those children back, it will allow those parents to stay at home a little longer with their family, before returning to work, which is something enormously [psycho-emotionally] beneficial to the surviving siblings.

The folk that live in that part of the world have no sympathy or empathy for the death of a foreign child, but they bring it up as a condemnation of western nations.
