Yay, a fun thread...especially nice since doom has gotten, well...kinda boring in the past several days.

Simple Pleasures

Kneading really good bread dough...the way it smells and the way it feels in my hands.

Being "attacked" by both of my boston terriers at once, since they're so jealous, neither one can stand the sight of the other in my lap.

Brand new socks...they just feel so great

Making cookies in the big crockery bowl...it's nice and heavy and just perfect.

Using my grandmother's pretty table linens on the solid cherry table I inherited from her early this year...I grew up at that table, and now, my son will too.

Guilty Pleasures

The Voice...I know, distraction at it's finest..that's one reason I love it, and who doesn't love to hear a truly gifted singer (Nicholas David was my pick)

Deep fried pizza...wow

This website...I get my news and a good laugh all at the same time.

Slash and hack games...great stress reliever for me

Motorcycle rallies...so great to let our hair down once a year, and party as hard as we want, while our kiddo is safe with grandma for the weekend

simple pleasures: cooking whitefish on a stick over a campfire after a good day of hiking and gold panning.

sitting silently for hours up high in the roadless areas of the cascades watching the animals. Waiting for a big bull elk to get in bow range.

Sitting on the lava flows at Mt. Adams watching the sun set.

Guilty pleasure: well, hmm.

OMG... I was traumatized as a young child eating what I thought was a coconut flavored jellybean and finding out the hard way that it was the vile buttered popcorn flavored jellybean!

Simple pleasures for me would be:

Wearing clothes taken right out of the dryer on a cold day.

Springtime and watching nature wake up.

A good tight hug. Sometimes the smallest gestures mean so much.



Guilty pleasures:

Cookie dough, I know it's bad for you but oh I love it so much.

Smoking a cigarette with a glass of wine. Haha
