You are absolutely correct. It is so hard to fathom and also it is very depressing, at least to me. But I think you speak the truth. I battle with the thought it it quite a bit. You will be shut off just like a computer. No more you. and you wont even know you existed nor will you care because you will be dead.

your dna is passed on to your children and therefore, your children = you. if you sin, 7 generations will pay for your sins. we all continue to live through our children. if some bad crap is happening for you right now and you have honestly been a devout person, then you're paying for sins of your ancestors.

This may be related to indian belief of two lights and going towards the lessor light and being trapped on earth, yet the "ghost" apparently dont "wonder about" as in indian text.

Where I was at..there was no heaven or hell, no Jesus and no harp music. All of thoughts are man made visions of what you are to see. You do not have to be saved by anyone. Your religion will sell you something and you have every right to choose to believe it.

It just ain't necessarily so. Why should hundreds of millions of eternal souls be confined to YOUR idea of the after-death?

Sometimes, in the fleeting seconds of being freshly awoken, you realize the blurred transition from one life to another. But while being in either, you often cannot recall the other.

That is why we are given amnesia as we start each new adventure. Eternity is a long, long, long time. We are eternal souls and must be constantly entertained during that long eternity.

We enter these lives to continue the unknown exciting adventures that our lives can be.

No there is an afterlife, because it just keeps going. We're immortal, the only problem is, we forget. Once you experience being out of body and for those that are quite familiar with it, then there is no fear of death really.

I mean to say when we are born on the earth again, we forget about who we were in a past life. That is where hypnosis past life regression comes in to play or perhaps you just astral project to your previous timelines, as it can be done.
