This video gives the impression that we used to carry guns before 1997, we didn't, guns were only used for shooting practice and you needed a licence, guns were never used for self protection which would have been illegal. As for fox hunting, as someone who lives in the country and you get a bunch of toffs rampaging through your garden and there is fuck all you can do about it because there is a good chance the local judge might be among them. I sympathise with the US entitlement to carry guns, but don't confuse your version of hunting to ours. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10794526 "THE AUTHORITIES HAVE NO WAY OF CONTROLLING CRIMINALS, SO THEY CONTROL THE LAW OBIDING, WERE AN EASY TARGET" wow that was a powerful video...and I can see how it happens in stages ...like boiling the proverbial frog, a little bit at a time who would have thought they would come after hunting? Certainly not reasonable people ...and that is the problem, reasonable people have no problem with 'reasonable' restraints...after all only crazies believe in hidden agendas This video may help explain why some in the US seem so unreasonable on certain issues Maybe they're not as crazy as they're painted btw, recently there was a similar case in Canada, where a man defending his home against a crazy throwing molotov cocktails at his house, some nutter trying to burn him in his sleep, ended up in jail - not the assailant Would a man of any rank in past centuries have been considered an outlaw for protecting his home from a violent intruder or thief? Perhaps a serf or slave, but not a free man and certainly not a nobleman |

I think you misunderstood the word "toffs" although at times during hunts they can behave like thugs, a toff is the landed gentry and those in authority, usually posh people that went to private school (paid for by wealthy parents and talk like David Cameron and the queen) |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 30959793 12/27/2012 06:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'd like to add to my post above, that British people were incrementally disarmed, following WW1. Prior to that Zionistic-Bankster War, many Edwardian Brits were armed, perfectly legally, with Webley revolvers, sword-sticks, rifles, straight-razors, shotguns and handfuls of freshly-ground black pepper (carried in the coat pockets of young women, for anti-rapist purposes). One of the infamous criminals who gradually, then violently, disarmed the law-abiding British citizens, was one, Winston S. Churchill. His mother was, of course, Jewish. |
