same thing happened with Massachusetts and New Hampshire, Unfortunately many brought higher taxes, bad policies with them

My state is 32nd and I couldn't be happier. The less people in, more parking, less noise, less hoo hah all the way around. I've been perfectly happy living here. Have lived in other states, not so much.

Happy hour at one of my local bars is all day Monday...many others have two happy hours a day (one late night for those who missed the earlier one, lol)

There are more parties and all night restaurants and bars than NYC

we went bar hoping after midnight mass Dec 24th, lol...were at least 5 great places open all night, even after last call

I think anyone who has lived in Texas can say that they take their fun as seriously as they take other things in life

and thats just fine with me...

Texas is very, very friendly.

I went to visit some relatives and everyone smiles and strangers start up conversations in public it was great.

Alaska is not so much that way.

Texas is good now, but the darker it gets. The more liberal it gets. The Californians are everywhere and jerks. No more than a couple more years and it will be a blue state and fucked.

however, fwiw, I was in the Oaklawn PO in October and it was a very well dressed thin blonde lady, who looked like many in Highland Park, who kept loudly talking with her friend how she was the local head of the Obama re-election committee, so I wouldn't put it down to race alone

this is why I say the breakdown is more rural vs urban, not by state

and as no place is perfect, I will still take Texas, because there are still more like minded people in this state
