I had one of those but worse. If I didn't want to speak to her she'd dope me up until I forgot what year it was. Never mind all of the snooping and threatening my friends with the authorities, etc,etc,etc. Maybe that's why I'm here now....  Oh, yes. Too controlling, there is a line that, when crossed, indicates unhealthy behavior. I'd skip "unhealthy" and go right to psychopathic. Feel for you and the girl in the article . Sounds like my mother and the child/teen hood from hell ( except for the drugging, lol ). Then of course the continued control attempts/defamatory lies and accusations from there. Toxic. Keep a very vast distance if you cannot cut the tie totally.
