What exactly are gold, diamonds, oil, etc. good for?

1) Oil runs the planet
2) Gold stabilizes currency
3) Diamonds keep your wife happy

Gold, Diamonds and oil hold value because there is only so much of it on the earth. Gold and Diamonds are more rare and equally as beautiful.

Water, sunlight and cannabis are all free commodities that are renewable. Therefor they hold no value.

Oil is a nasty thing, Cannabis could replace in a heartbeat. Gold is ugly, diamonds are ugly... You gotta realize these things are cut/molded and polished to look attractive. They're really just minerals that should stay underground and be burnt up by the earth's core (that's what that incinerator is there for, to burn up all the useless stuff and one day push it up as new land) . If you want real beauty look to trees, flowers, insects... And hippy means human.

I'm a woman and I've never understood the attraction for diamonds. I think it's cultural, woman are told by advertisers that they must want diamonds.

Oil does run the machines that provide us with a comfortable life but will destroy us eventually by amping global warming spawned superstorms, forced migration, civil unrest & economic meltdown.

Diamonds are used in industrial process and for mental masturbation.

Gold cannot stabilize an economy or currency but by hurculean acts of mental masturbation people think it can.
