I liked him. He was a born leader. I'm not very military minded, but somehow the US seemed safer with him in it. I didn't agree with everything he believed about the world, but he was a realist and he believed in keeping dreamers like me safe from those who would exploit my naive view of the world.

I heard about this from an email my brother send me. He told me that the General was a serious cut up when he was just hanging out with the troops. People really liked him and his stories. My brother said he was very inspiring. He even talked to the soldiers about dying in battle and even though these were very somber discussions, he didn't chastise anyone for crying or being afraid. He was like a dad.
