Why do people care so much about what other people want to do with their own body?

I don't care a person does to their body, unless it's my significant other.

I just got the biggest one yet on Saturday. It's a portrait of son. The artist kept asking you okay and I would say oh yeah feels so good. Not. It was uncomfortable to say the least. Good luck to you. It's the filling in that gets me. Whew.

believe me if you were to lose a child there is no telling what you may do. My son wanted a tat. I was against it. He was 16 when he passed. Since than I have gotten a tat every year. Don't never say never because you just don't ever know.

On my back I have a black and grey piece, the shading hurt a descent amount, how big is the portrait?

No the artist wanted to do a black/white portrait. His son was friends with my son so he knew him. I told him he was the artist and do what he wanted.

My other tats are colored.

Does color hurt more? And thank you for all the advice

color is no different than the shading. The more they rub that needle on your skin the more your skin is screaming for mercy :)
