Stop being so dam gullible.

It's always worse than what tell the ignorant masses. This is obvious to anyone with a brain.

Are you getting paid like so many others here to slander people trying to shed light on this? I already know your answer!

In Reality it is even much more but for this we need
to understand the Size of the Unit Bq.!

Many People (incl. the Op.) always fail to give us
a idea, how much is 10.000.000- 100.000.000 or
240.000.000 Bq, what is 365 times 240.000.000 Bq,
i think the Op. is doing this with a Reason.

On the other Side what do you, We and I expected?
Everyone with a bit of clue knew already since 03/15
that this is a serious Incidento and not finished in
a couple of Years, go and look for Chernobyl
and research how much Bq. is there on the Ground!

OP and all sincere readers:

living in hawaii here and experiencing profound new levels of exhaustion lately.

been wondering...could part of this be radiation poisoning? I mean, I can barely function past 5 or 7pm and I used to be a night owl. sleep every chance I get now.
dizzy, foggy, incredibly tired.

any feed back?
thank you

do i always have to do your homework for you atom-boy?

the bold is what TEPCO is reporting... more of, per hour....

10,000 mSv (10 sieverts) as a short-term and whole-body dose would cause immediate illness, such as nausea and decreased white blood cell count, and subsequent death within a few weeks.
Between 2 and 10 sieverts in a short-term dose would cause severe radiation sickness with increasing likelihood that this would be fatal.

1,000 mSv (1 sievert) in a short-term dose is about the threshold for causing immediate radiation sickness in a person of average physical attributes, but would be unlikely to cause death. Above 1000 mSv, severity of illness increases with dose.
If doses greater than 1000 mSv occur over a long period they are unlikely to have health effects, but they may create some risk that cancer will develop many years later.

250 mSv as short-term dose was maximum allowable for workers controlling the Fukushima accident.

Above about 100 mSv
, the probability of cancer (rather than the severity of illness) increases with dose.

The estimated risk of fatal cancer is 5 of every 100 persons exposed to a dose of 1000 mSv (ie. if the normal incidence of fatal cancer were 25%, a 1000 mSv dose would increase it to 30%).

50 mSv is, conservatively, the lowest dose at which there is any evidence of cancer being caused in adults. It is also the highest dose which is allowed by regulation in any one year of occupational exposure. Dose rates greater than 50 mSv/yr arise from natural background levels in several parts of the world but do not cause any discernible harm to local populations.

20 mSv/yr averaged over 5 years is the limit for radiological personnel such as employees in the nuclear industry, uranium or mineral sands miners and hospital workers (who are all closely monitored).

10 mSv/yr is the maximum actual dose rate received by any Australian uranium miner.

3-5 mSv/yr is the typical dose rate (above background) received by uranium miners in Australia and Canada.

3 mSv/yr (approx) is the typical background radiation from natural sources in North America, including an average of almost 2 mSv/yr from radon in air.

2.5 mSv/yr (approx) is the typical background radiation from natural sources, including an average of 0.7 mSv/yr from radon in air. The minimum dose received by all humans anywhere on Earth is about 1.5 mSv/yr.

0.3-0.6 mSv/yr is a typical range of dose rates from artificial sources of radiation, mostly medical.

0.05 mSv/yr, a very small fraction of natural background radiation, is the design target for maximum radiation at the perimeter fence of a nuclear electricity generating station. In practice the actual dose is less.

what???.......

atom-bot..... string a sentence together and i may be able to decipher what you are trying to say.....

i think i can answer you this way......

1. highly radiocative elements are meant to be IN containment... not OUT of them (as evidenced from sampling)

2. the plants BLEW UP on camera..... never before seen in the history of mankind....

3. Fine powder, particles of highly radioactive elements travel the globe in the Jet streams and the water, and settle more locally into the soil...

4. The plants are continuing to work as they did IN containment.. ie: heating and boiling with NOTHING (buildings, lead [et al]), to stop it moving into the environment.....

5. I am assuming your water supply will continue for a millenia to become poison.. or for the religious... wormwood....

Nobody cares! Not even japan. Everybody believes it fixed and there is very little problems. They play with there Nuclear Mutated food and draw little faces on them. They export radioactive food to other countries including the US. They believe all those fish and birds dying are from natural causes. Only the smartest people in japan (the kids) will tell you they are left for dead. The magnitude of this disaster has not shown it's ugly head and they will not waken until it does. This site will make you sick if you read it long enough.

The reason atom boy speaks english is because he is swiss...

The reason he is a swiss living in japan. Likely IAEA.
(Hence his swiss / connection)...

Its come to my attention that every fukushima related thread that is posted (showing a negative outcome) tends to be Dismantled by the poster atom boy.

His signature is always Japan. Which is notable due to His broken english "all is well" motive.

What people lack to understand is exactly what the op has presented "among other official sources.

That every waking day since 3/11 2011. The earth disperses 10 million bq of radio active decay products into the open environment; ground water, oceans, and jet streams.

It is officially reported as "contained"; However even as early as July 2011 the Chinese government had reported 100,000 sq miles of the Pacific ocean to be contaminated "above the recommended / environmental limit.

Our planet is being contaminated by radionuclides everyday.

Well done for pointing out the fact to the masses. I only wish that others were smart enough to dig into the situation; But then comes the sad truth...

This is not a simple fix. Our best and Our brightest are working on the situation everyday. They have made the issue a non threat due to the amount of Panic in which it causes.

For example...
If every person on the planet suddenly decided that it was a problem. Global production would take a hit. People wouldn't want to work and go out and into the dangerous environment. However this would conflict with "fixing the problem / reactors on site".

In any case what we do know is that the radiation is being ejected into the open environment every day, and every night.

This is a very dangerous situation indeed.

It is not to be taken for granted by any means...

sigh*

putinputinputin

you don't!

nor do the nuclear companies WANT you to understand it!

There are several different measurements for different reasons

Basic conversions:

1 gray (Gy) = 100 rad
1 rad = 10 milligray (mGy)
1 sievert (Sv) = 1,000 millisieverts (mSv) = 1,000,000 microsieverts (μSv)
1 sievert = 100 rem
1 becquerel (Bq) = 1 count per second (cps) = (sic) EG: 1 free radical that has the potential to affect your dna, atoms etc....
1 curie = 37,000,000,000 becquerel = 37 Gigabecquerels (GBq)

For x-rays and gamma rays, 1 rad = 1 rem = 10 mSv
For neutrons, 1 rad = 5 to 20 rem (depending on energy level) = 50-200 mSv
For alpha radiation (helium-4 nuclei), 1 rad = 20 rem = 200 mSv

damn man you are annoying.... get back to the thread point or i'll bane you...

(i wonder how people REALLY are in Tokyo).. only a couple of hours drive.... we will see in 20 years... mind you i'll be dust in the wind and the REAL warning will be long forgotten by an endangered species...

doom comes and goes.. but from all research (for what is available)... this is long term, real deal doom....

Oooh, love to see the tepco damage control team come out; always fun to watch as they are not that bright, especiallly evidence of tepco's horrendus fuck ups and cover ups are so easy to find. Funny thing is, the first place i ever heard of and learned what a shill was, was on enenews because they used to hit that place HARD.

Obviously, tepco's handlers feel something of greater magnitude is going to affect us eventually, which is the reason why they are literally just "covering" everything up, until whatever hits us, hits us. This just means we have absolutely no way of recovering after it: we are truly heading towards extinction, only divine intervention can literally save us now.

Then what are the real numbers? (which you claim are higher)...

There is no way to know (as they are not released)... until an academic team can get 'permission' to colaborate and obtain quantative data as a seperate entity, we may never know.

Pandamic control have protocols that limit the amount of 'public' information due to panic and backlash.. if they are using these protocols (as i suspect), then we are seeing this happen on a non-before global scale....
It's life as we know it, but only just.

the Bq's are unknown as the data was silenced, we only have presumtion and pacific data collated for now... the data cover up is really assumably on a global-scale....

Further in response to the non-concealment of data (people are now arguing it was higher than a considered guestament *sigh*).... obamy back when it was critical...

Thread: Was talking on multiple threads to day and this got a mention... Obamy about Fukushima... those were the days....

short and curlies? "trust me.. we encourage you NOT to protect yourselves" [sic]
