Tepco released on 12/27/2012, 10 million Bq of cesium-134/1 per HOUR 1. the worlds worst nuclear accident.... 2. lack of evidence (bar that from Cernoblyl) 3. and the worst we don't know how to contain, constrain or fix it.... .. there is nothing. nothing, in the analogues of time, that has dealt with this, but i do suppose brilliant buildings in deserts might ward of us this kind of behaviour............ *sigh....... Tepco released on 12/27/2012, 10 million Bq of cesium-134/1 per HOUR Fukushima,Tokyo -why go to radioactive areas of Japan? Helping the people out is certainly noble but why do that when they should be 1.leaving those areas and 2.billions of yen have been made available to the Japanese to help themselves (where has the money gone BTW???) In certain parts of Fukushima there are deformed insects ( 2 butts etc ) so be sure that 'yes' the radiation is going to change the people of Japan and the US The reactors are still spewing and not covered.... The winds blow from Japan right over to the east coast of the States - Hawaii has had a liberal dosing to date so if you are feeling bad go get a blood check ASAP and stay off diary products in the meantime..... |

Tepco released on 12/27/2012, 10 million Bq of cesium-134/1 per HOUR OP and all sincere readers: Quoting: an american mom 18528827 living in hawaii here and experiencing profound new levels of exhaustion lately. been wondering...could part of this be radiation poisoning? I mean, I can barely function past 5 or 7pm and I used to be a night owl. sleep every chance I get now. dizzy, foggy, incredibly tired. any feed back? thank you I'm in AK and I've been feeling the same way. I've been exhausted and sleeping most of the time this past week, feel foggy like I can't think, also been having muscle twitches. Our weather report last night showed the jet stream from Japan coming right over us. |

Tepco released on 12/27/2012, 10 million Bq of cesium-134/1 per HOUR Op. how do you come from Bq. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21106949 to Sievert? Please explain because both are different Units! What does it mean for People in Tokyo or in Los Angeles when Daiichi-Boy make a 240.000.000 Bq. Poo? Granite release ca. 5.000 Bq a Hour a Kg! Daiichi release the same amount in a hour like 2.000 Kg of Granite! sigh* you don't! nor do the nuclear companies WANT you to understand it! There are several different measurements for different reasons Basic conversions: 1 gray (Gy) = 100 rad 1 rad = 10 milligray (mGy) 1 sievert (Sv) = 1,000 millisieverts (mSv) = 1,000,000 microsieverts (μSv) 1 sievert = 100 rem 1 becquerel (Bq) = 1 count per second (cps) = (sic) EG: 1 free radical that has the potential to affect your dna, atoms etc.... 1 curie = 37,000,000,000 becquerel = 37 Gigabecquerels (GBq) For x-rays and gamma rays, 1 rad = 1 rem = 10 mSv For neutrons, 1 rad = 5 to 20 rem (depending on energy level) = 50-200 mSv For alpha radiation (helium-4 nuclei), 1 rad = 20 rem = 200 mSv damn man you are annoying.... get back to the thread point or i'll bane you... Not only that, but what is being released at Fuku is Cesium, which is not radiation but radioactive material, which gets carried on the wind around the world. Radiation itself, which is emitted from radioactive sources, such as Granite, etc. is a form of light, and is only a local concern, and dependent on the presence of the radioactive material. It is only the material which gets carried aloft and is the serious problem in this case, and in that aspect it is far dirtier to the world than many above ground atomic bombs. The radiation coming out of Fuku is NOT at all the problem to the world. The problem is the radioactive MATERIAL coming out of Fuku. Last Edited by ehecatl on 12/28/2012 01:30 PM |

Slowing poisoning the Ocean. Slowly making it's foul way through the Jet Stream, East to North America. Found in local Strawberries by a University Study in California, as the masses sleep.
