The same way there are so many people who want their guns, but are strongly against abortion. Both "rights" were documented in the 1700s, included in the Bill of Rights, supported by the Supreme Court. It's safe to say that the founding fathers couldn't imagine the abortion process, just like they couldn't imagine semi-automatic weapons or drive-by shootings.

Reasons to support one can be used to support the other. Are we going to ban guns and abortions, or give Americans right to have both?
