I have been smelling something oily in the air.

From the sound of it, they're the same ones that were sprayin' up a storm in the San Diego skies all afternoon, hazily blocking out the sunset. Too suspicious...

Here in Tahoe: just noticed weird flashing light in the sky, looked like lightening at first, shrouded by the light cloud cover, but no thunder followed. Rapid flashing, then very little, then rapid again, and even what I believed to be a different color, couldn't hear any noises associated with the flashes and it seemed to be in a random pattern. Weird.

SANTA BARBARA HAS HAD A FEW ODD MILITARY PLANES FLY OVER THIS AFTERNOON...NOT THE TYPICAL MILITARY PLANES OR HELICOPTERS HEADING TO OR FROM VANDENBERG...SKY WAS CLEAR IN THE EARLY MORNING AN AROUND 12:00 TO 1:00 WHEN THE SUN WAS BEAMING BRIGHTER THAN I HAVE SEEN IN AWHILE...LINES FROM EVERY DIRECTION COVERED IT UP UNTIL SUNSET...ADDITIONALLY WITNESSED AN PHOTOGRAPHED A HALO PATTERN IN THE CLOUDS...NOT FOR CERTAIN WHERE IT WAS PROJECTING FROM BUT I HAVE SEEN SIMILAR HALOS, BUT AROUND THE SUN LAST YEAR BUT NOT OFF INTO THE DISTANCE AS SEEN TODAY...
