John Lennon with Yoko at the Russian Tea Room in NYC in mid-December 1975 George Harrison at a party with the Hare Krishnas when he gifted his manor to the religious group. There was a mega-party at the Manor and I was invited. Many other rock stars of the time were there too. I only wish I would have kept that invitation card. It was the most beautiful thing I ever saw. It got lost in time. I always liked the early Beatles best this is a beautiful song and this... Ringo is so funny and this... pure 1965 magic! Early Beatles sound - so wonderful and the beautiful and famous Govindam Adi Purusham a recording financed by the Beatles for the Hare Krishna temple in London. John Lennon had housed the first Hare Krishnas in his own house after they arrived from the U.S.A. Then they took on to the Maharishi and went into drugs... |

"With an eye made quiet by the power of harmony and the deep power of joy, we see into the life of things." William Wordsworth And yet the same revolutionary beliefs for which our forebears fought are still at issue around the globe—the belief that the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state, but from the hand of God. John F. Kennedy Inaugural Address Lincoln's economic advisor Henry C. Carey explained the universal issue in his 1851 Harmony of Interests: "Two systems are before the world.... One looks to pauperism, ignorance, depopulation, and barbarism; the other to increasing wealth, comfort, intelligence, combination of action, and civilization. One looks towards universal war; the other towards universal peace. One is the English system; the other ... the American system, for ... elevating while equalizing the condition of man throughout the world." "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former." - Albert Einstein |

Quoting: moot Rocky Racoon always puts a smile on my face.Octopus's Garden was tops. John Lennon did some great things on the White Album. Glass Onion, Yer Blues ect... I love the Beatles As I understand it, the general "guideline" for determining beatles primary authorship, is the guy who sung it was usually the primary writer. So unless you know something I don't, that would make Rocky a McCartney track. I used to be 100% Lennon all the way. He is still one of my personal heroes, on various levels. However, I always did like a lot of Paul's Beatles stuff, and in the last couple years obsessing over the "Paul is Dead" mystery has turned me in to quite the McCartney fan. Harrison was a pretty under-rated musician as well. I liked his spiritual vibe. |

They gave her a beautiful little golden locket with their picture in it, and she sent it to me - I had moved to America when I was a child. And I have no idea what happened to it - UGH! Do you promise not to tell . . . |

I just gave my son my old LP collection - he found a console record player at some yard sale and loves playing it. And he and his girlfriend just split up and he told me that he just can't listen to the Beatles love songs right now, too emotional. And I just thought - wow - a whole new generation still feeling their music. :freeurmind: |
