Strange super bright moon over Ontario right now!

How is it strange. I just went for a smoke and all i see is a full moon. Full moons are bright.

About an hour and half ago I noticed that the sky was a beautiful dark blue hue. I thought it odd.

Yeah, I know ... I've never seen anything like it ... not big , just really bright...

... I like it ...

Yeah I was out about 30 mins ago, was like whoa. Full moons do tend to be bright though

and since we got snow the light reflection will be much brighter.

True... Snow definitely adds to the effect.

No snow where i'm at and it was incredibly bright here too!

Ok... so let me ask OP and those who say it's bright...

Do you have equipment to decide what brightness it is? There is an actual level of brightness and if you have the equipment you could show that...

But since this is GLP I assume you are using your eyes. Which means you are deciding that tonight (which may have less humidity or more than others, less chemicals in the sky or more, less or more clouds, etc...) is somehow more special and brighter than other full moons without anything scientific at all backing you up.

This brightness difference could simply be due to youreyes taking in more or less light than usual from any number of things... but instead... no it MUST be brighter than usual...

Right... look full moons are bright... and until you even know what the albedo is (the amount of reflectivity of the moon and the amount of light it therefore reflects upon us here on earth) and what that amount is TONIGHT... shut the fuck up and don't be ignorant. Your eyes lie to you.

Why do you think there are things called optical illusions? because our eyes and brains are too fucking stupid to differentiate things sometimes.

This is why we have science and tools to measure ACCURATELY.
