just a paper guide.

You know they invented this thing called the internet.

With it you can download whatever TV show you want.

You dont have to sit and watch the limited scheduled programming. You can choose from anything you want.

I thought all digi receivers had some sort of basic EPG, and since they switched off terrestrial a year or two back...

Even basic freeview has now and next.

Oh well...back to the Radio Times 4U

don't know why i bothered.nothing interesting on t.v.

i think i will look into the internet programming instead.

to clarify - most times it comes up blank and so is worse than useless, hence still using the paper guide.

This is a good site for films on Freeview, although regional variations are not accounted for. So for example, Prince of Persia, BBC1 HD 20:30 Monday night is not on normal BBC1 where I stay.

Thankfully, I've upgraded my telly in time, looking forward to that one.

Programme guides on Freeview receivers that have Guide plus+ have more functionality, you can search by genre e.g films or search on an entered word or title, sadly not many manufacturers include it, and just provide a basic guide.
