Does Anyone Else Feel Stifled, Numb, Sick And Unable To Get Anything Done??? Is Everyday Exactly The Same???
I mean what is going on here. For me it's mostly been the last few months or last half of this year rather that everything went downhill. I feel very stifled and oppressed. Almost a cursed feeling. I have horrible luck. I feel like everyday is the same. Some days I feel like everything is pointless. I went from having insomnia to sleeping 12 hours now. I am perpetually tired. I always feel foggy. Worst of all I can't seem to get anything done. I'm sick of the pressure feeling in my head and hears, difficulty breathing, joint pain, extreme fatigue and tiredness. I crave sugar and sweets constantly. I used to be heavily reliant upon coffee but it has mysteriously stopped working out of nowhere. Worst of all is my overall lack of motivation.

Anyone else going through this? I'd like some advice and to hear your stories.

Yeah pretty much everything you described. But my problems were caused by first me losing a girlfriend, then me losing all my best friends, then me losing my job, and me losing my will to live. But I've always had shit luck.

You sound depressed, wintertime is a common cause for depression due to low sunlight, and as a result vitamin D deficiency...visit a tanning bed, and use bright lights in your home and at work, switch to 100 watt bulbs and leave them on except to sleep...

You are probably right! It's always really dark in this house. We have barely any light. I sleep all day and am up all night. The physical symptoms do worry me though.

I've been noticing it too in my family, friends and co-workers, the same symptoms. Plus, here, people are getting affected by skin rashes, strange ones, like smallpox, but not infected, no fever. People just feel tired all the time. Very strange indeed.

This also sounds a lot like Lyme Disease. Check here to read a list of symptoms [link to www.webmd.com] Symptoms affect one physically, mentally and emotionally.

Might look into getting tested since it won't get better on its own. You want a "Lyme qualified physician" since many will just tell you its all in your head, and you know its clearly not.

I hope it's not that one! I've heard that Lyme can be tricky to get rid of!

Could it be we're entering into 'middle age'? I feel the same way you do op. Can't shake it.

Some days I'm full or energy and am able to focus on my duties, but 90% of the time, I feel weird, tired, foggy. I've been feeling like this for about 3 years.

I just turned 51 this month, so I've blamed it on my age ever since I got near the big 50.

I went to my Dr...what a joke. He tried to give me anti depressants. NO THANKS!

I'll stick to my first thought...I'm getting older.hf

Ignore it people and call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. He will deliver you from all demoninc influence.

I somehow hear such things often.

I look very different sometimes on photographs, there are others on flickr also.

This photograph was actually more an accident.

What you describe sounds like allergies and vitamin deficiency (vitamin d3 and iodine)

Try taking allegra and megadoses of vitamins D, C and iodine. Drink extra water and get some sunlight.

Of course, research first and get blood work done.

Many people are suffering from similar ailments and deficiencies. Its no wonder when our food is void of nutrition, our water and air poisoned.

We have to take care of ourselves

Re: Does Anyone Else Feel Stifled, Numb, Sick And Unable To Get Anything Done??? Is Everyday Exactly The Same???
Hi, Obsidian, You are too nice a person to give up now! I know what you mean about every day being the same….mine is becoming that way and it is my own fault, so it may be a bit hypocritical of me to hand out advice! Nonetheless, I will, because it may help me too.

We have got into a rut. Coming here has become a daily habit, and I don’t think that is good for me; it’s similar to an addiction. I think it’s a kind of mind masturbation. We just sit back and are entertained, and when we feel like it, spout off our views J The perfect forum for that…and something for everyone! But in the end, I waste hours here. It also raises many kinds of emotions; there is much dissension here. At the same time, it offers food for thought, or that’s what I tell myself.

So here’s my ideas for getting out of a rut.

Try to take a walk everyday. Breathe deep when you do. I find that just concentrating on my breath and taking deep breaths can change my attitude immediately. There are lots of sites that also give specific exercises, if you want to search.

Find one song that just makes your body move and your spirit soar. For me, it’s Freddy Jones “In A Day Dream”. I can’t listen to that song without becoming happy and energized. Remember to listen to that song every so often. Remind yourself how it feels to feel good and happy. (Another poster has chosen to be happy, and has worked on it. I’ll see if I can find that thread).

If you don’t pamper your body often, start doing it at least once in a while. Massage your feet, give yourself a footbath, take baths with Epsom sales (and the borax and baking soda), smell a favorite essential oil, massage your scalp. Give your body attention and think of each part as you do so, so it knows you love it and are thinking about it and want to take care of it. Be thankful for all the things your body parts do for you.

Once a day, take time out to be thankful for just one thing. Spend a minute or two on it. Develop the attitude of gratitude. It really helps.

Get a good Theta brainwave CD that lifts your spirits, helps you relax, and enhances creativity. I like Theta Meditation System, Program 1, Renewal, by The Relaxation Company. Listen to it through headphones, or listen to it while you are working on a project.

Work on your right brain. A cheap, easy way to start is buy crayons and coloring book at a second hand store. Then hold the crayon with the hand you usually don’t use. Or spend some time writing with your opposite hand. It can be frustrating, but it is making connections between your right and left brain. The idea is to help change/expand your ways of thinking.

Is there something you always wanted to learn how to do, but never got around to it? Like knitting, or making a box from wood, or making candles, or using herbs in cooking; whatever. There are many free classes you can find on local bulletin boards. Our local library has a once a week knitting circle as well as book clubs that are free.

I don’t know if you are into spiritual stuff, but I find this exercise helps me at times. It’s called the The Self-Clearing & Maintenance Command, found at [link to www.energyreality.com] This is an exercise to rid yourself of negative entities, attachments, emotions, EMF to some degree. When I use it, I do actually feel better.

I know you are already working on your health, and there is so much good advice here! Maybe also join a health forum. Yesterday I started looking for one. I was surprised at how many have been started in 2006-2007 but seem to have petered out. I will be looking some more. Heatth-wise I seem to be doing ok, and am using many natural means to keep it that way. But now that I am retired and have more time, I find that I have the attitude, “Oh, I can do that later. Or tomorrow”, and I am doing less than I did when I was working. I don’t like falling into that pattern. On the one hand, I used to be project-driven to an obsessive point, so maybe it’s an improvement. On the other hand, I’m not doing all the things I intended to do when I retired, nor doing them as rapidly as I used to. But enough knocking myself in the head, I’m still doing what I really want to.

Those are just a few ideas to start getting out of a rut. I think the getting out of the house and walking each day and the breathing are two really important ones. You won’t want to do all at once, but start somewhere. Now, I hope to take my own advice today!

Do others have ideas on this?

PS---I’m the poster you asked question of in another thread but I didn’t get back to it til much later. Yes, I think Traditional Medicine teas are great. They are organic, not irradiated, and the combinations are well thought out, like the sore throat tea.

Extremely helpful!!!!

"Start making herbal teas that include oxyogenators like red clover, and liver or blood purifiers like alfalfa (alos a great mineral source), burdock root, milk thistle, dandelion root."

Whats your opinion on Traditional Medicinal teas? I have a lot of them here.

"I even add borax, epsom salt, and baking soda to bath water"

All 3 at once or one at a time on different occasions?
 Quoting: _Obsidian_

Thanks, Obsidian. I add all 3 at once, but that may be overkill :) I just like the effect. When taken internally in minute amounts, Borax is supposed to combine with the flouride so that it is excreted in the urine. Flouride is one of three chemicals that has a similar molecular weight to iodine, so it competes for the iodine receptors in the thyroid. If you don't have enough iodine, flouride will fill it up. So I take iodine, too. Flouride has been linked to thyroid disease, chronic fatigue, fiber myalgia, osteoarthritis, skeletal flourosis, and other chronic illnesses. Again, doctors do not have tests to see if this is your problem

I like traditional medicine teas, I think they are truly organic and well-thought out in their combinations, like the one for sore throats.

I grow the alfalfa, dandelion, chamomile, mint, and red clover in my back yard. When possible, I hunt for the others in farm type areas. But vitacost.com has starwest botanical one pound packages of all of these at the lowest prices I've seen. Starwest is a good organic brand.
